Medical Officer at RFH Healthcare

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Clinical Review: Monitor and review the clinical progress of inpatient and outpatient to ensure treatment plans align with established medical protocols and hospital policies
2. Insurance Liaison
3. Discharge Planning: Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate smooth patient transitions and timely discharges.
4. Patient Advocacy: Communicate complex medical updates to families and patients, ensuring they understand their treatment journey
5. Quality Audit: Participate in clinical audits to improve patient outcomes

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Education: Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) from a recognized university.
2. Licensing: Valid up-to-date license from the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC).
3. Experience: At least 2-3 years of clinical practice. Management is a significant advantage.
4. Knowledge: Familiarity with ICD-10/11 coding and Kenya’s health insurance landscape (SHA and private insurers).
